The Myth Behind Living Vertically...
In our society today, there is a tremendous hype around the concept of being vertical. Get out of bed! Run! Stand! MOVE! But why is there no emphasis on remaining horizontal?
The most common myth regarding both the vertical and horizontal position is that most activities can only be performed vertically. This is a gross misconception. Consider this: activities that are truly important such as food and drink consumption, watching television and browsing through Facebook can ALL be performed horizontally. Moreover, horizontal-ness can even be applied for those stricken by motivation. Whose to say that business meetings/presentations/proposals can't be done horizontally? Even exercize can be done in a horizontal manner. Who can dispute the effectiveness of sit ups? Leg stretches? Crunches? In fact, living vertically can actually be dangerous as it greatly increases the risk of injury.
When all important activities can be performed horizontally, why stand?
